What is east row historic district?

The East Row Historic District is a residential neighborhood located in Newport, Kentucky, United States. It was primarily developed between 1849 and the early 1900s and features a variety of architectural styles including Greek Revival, Italianate, Queen Anne, and Colonial Revival. The district covers 300 acres and includes over 500 buildings, including grand mansions, simple cottages, and townhouses.

The neighborhood has gone through periods of decline and revitalization throughout its history but today it is a thriving community with a strong sense of community and pride in its historic architecture. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973 and is considered one of the best-preserved Victorian neighborhoods in the country.

East Row is also known for its annual home tour which attracts visitors from all over the region.
